Research

This course is conducted at a long-established research laboratory that started with the third course of anatomy in 1906. Incorporating the new perspectives of the post-genome era, we have devised an entirely new screening method for drug discovery and are carrying out research and development on candidate therapeutic drugs for diseases including leukemia in patients with Down syndrome, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy, etc., which are difficult to treat with conventional drug therapy.
